Seattle PI Readers "Ask the Burke"

The recently began a new online column on their popular Big Blog called “Ask the Burke.” The column is modeled after the successful “Ask MOHAI,” in which questions about local history are answered by experts at the Museum of History and Industry. Ask the Burke addresses common questions about the natural or cultural history of this region. I think the column is an exciting way to use local media to share the wealth of knowledge of local cultural institutions.

The most recent installment of Ask the Burke posed the question “What is the most abundant fish in Puget Sound?” So what is the answer? Curator of fishes Ted Pietsch’s response might surprise you!

(hint: it's not salmon!)
