The Celebration is Almost Over
This is your last chance to see A Celebration of Souls: Day of the Dead in Southern Mexico, closing Sun., Dec. 31, 2006.
The photography in the exhibit features lots of yummy-looking Oaxacan chocolate, but the centerpiece is the huge ofrenda (altar) that local Mexican artist Isaac Hernandez Ruiz put together. You cannot miss the incredible tapete (sand painting) at the altar’s feet (pictured above as a work in progress). Learn more about Isaac’s work here.
